Municipal Gallery of Corfu
The Municipal Gallery of Corfu is situated in the Palace of Saint & George in the historical centre of Corfu Town.The Gallery displays in its period rooms a permanent exhibition of its important collection of painting, a collection which covers over four centuries, from the 16th to the 20th century, of artistic expression in the Ionian Islands.
The Gallery organises and hosts temporary exhibitions throughout the year. The exhibition programming varies, showcasing both contemporary artists and forms of art, as well as presenting retrospective shows of art historical significance.
The Gallery’s wider activities include an educational programme for children, families and adults, collaborations with research institutions and cultural organisation for the organisation of festivals, symposiums, etc, publications, as well as presenting other performance and cultural events.”
